Multiple times I've been told "don't get shot" upon telling someone that I was going to Rwanda this summer. My response both times, was one of annoyance. However, at my ISP team training tonight my team and I were all talking and someone had mentioned a story that their father had been part of. It really spoke to me. It just made me think this: what if I do get shot and die in Rwanda? First off, then that would be God's will. But most importantly, if I were to somehow die while overseas doing the work of God then that is amazing. There is no shame in that, only beauty. Good to know that I'll have died while pursuing the will of my Father in Heaven. We shouldn't be so worried about dying that it prevents us from fulling living for God the way that he wants to.
