Belgium

So my ISP trip this year is to Belgium. I am going with a team of 9 wonderful people. I'm stoked. However, I am also a little worried. By March 8th we were supposed to have half of our funds raised. Total we need to raise 3,300, half of that is... well I will let you do the math. As of 5:00 pm today, I still do not have that amount of money. I have raised $240, part of that being my own deposit, and I have made a few phone calls and talked to a few people to know that I have at least a little more coming in.

I feel pathetic being worried because last year I was fully funded. Funny story about that is that the school will allow us to put a small portion of our remaining funds on our student account, if necessary, they try to avoid that though. I was able to put the remainder from my trip last year on my student account. The amazing part of this is that after my student fees were paid from my Pel Grant the amount that was left over covered exactly what I needed for my trip. For me to credit that to anything other than God's provision would be foolish. Last year in Rwanda we were blessed to be able to help students pass their English proficiency test, we saw incredible things happen, and all in the name of Jesus Christ.

This year in Belgium we are going with the main task of preparing a virtual prayer walk of the city that we will be staying in. Here we will be observing and reporting on the needs of the city as well as making a physical product that you can see and know of the needs of Belgium. However, we recognize that this will take us about a week. We have found out that we may have an opportunity to teach English while we are in Belgium. We will be interacting with the local Muslim population that is made up of North African refugees. Above all else we are going to Belgium with the intent of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I would like to encourage you to donate if you are reading this. You can do so here. If you have already donated then I would like to thank you immensely. All donations are tax deductible.

If you wish you may donate online, click here, if you wish you create an account you can but it is not necessary. Make sure you select International Service Projects - ISP in the funds section. If you want to donate specifically to me you can do so by listing my name and my team (Brian Morris - Team Belgium) in the comments section. They will email you a receipt.

The flyer you see to the right is for the fundraiser that we are doing at coffee depot this week, if you are free and have $5 you should attend. There will be 3 musical acts. My friends Andrew and Kyle will be playing, and then We Live Among Lions, the band that I am in, with Eddie my Belgium teammate, will be closing the night it would be amazing if you could make it. We get $3 out of each of the tickets that are sold. It's 7-10 at Coffee Depot downtown.

I thank you for taking the time to read this as well as considering donation.
