Taken For Dead...

The chapel speaker on Friday has told this story and I wanted to share it with you. 

I'm giving these people fictional names, because I don't know the real names, and it makes it less confusing.

Charlie met a man, let's call him Nicholas, that was in the Taj Hotel during the Mumbai bombings. Nicholas was sitting at a table when the terrorists walked into the hotel. They began firing, he and the people that were sitting at his table all dove underneath the table. Everyone else at the table was killed except for Nicholas. Nicholas was telling this story to Charlie. Charlie went on to ask about how he survived. His response was this, "I was covered by the blood of another and taken for dead."

This explains Christianity amazingly. Because of Christ's death on the cross, we are covered by his blood, and taken for dead (to sin).
