Take Heart

Funny how I pray for God to strengthen my faith and I don't like the results. However, I got exactly what I prayed for. God has given me moments that will cause my faith to grow.

I just feel like I've been extremely overwhelmed lately, with so many worldly things. It drives me nuts. However, Christ has assured us of this - '"But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."' John 16:33

This has been the most encouraging thing that I have heard/read today. When you find troubles trust in Christ, for he has overcome the world. All this has reminded me of 1 Corinthians 10:13, "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure."
